Has anyone here successfully replaced the antenna jack on a Yaesu
FT-7900 with an N-connector? How about for an Alinco DR-235TMKIII? -- David Griffith --- Put my last name where it belongs |

The easiest way would be to put the connector on a piece of wire and put a grommlet on the back of the radio and wire it to the board.. The SO connector is attached to the back of the radio with either nuts and bolts or rivets - isn't real hard to remove / replace... It is soldered to the board with two jumpers... Not real high tech... The board is screwed to the heat sink material...
