Analog Devices SSM2165
www.analog.com http://www.analog.com/UploadedFiles/...4SSM2165_b.pdf Jim, KC1RM "Dave Platt" wrote in message ... Anybody have any suggestions for commercially-available SMT ICs which could be used to put together a physically-small compressor / speech processor design? I'm thinking of something small enough to be installed in-line with a standard 4-pin microphone plug, no more than perhaps 3" long - or perhaps even installed inside a dynamic or electret hand-mic housing. Low power (run off of the rig's 9 VDC supply to the electret mic if possible). Seems to me that it'd require a preamp stage (SMT fixed-gain instrumentation amp would do?), an AGC/VCA arrangement, and an output driver and attenuator. -- Dave Platt AE6EO Hosting the Jade Warrior home page: http://www.radagast.org/jade-warrior I do _not_ wish to receive unsolicited commercial email, and I will boycott any company which has the gall to send me such ads! |

Jim wrote: Analog Devices SSM2165 Holy Fudd! Thanks, Jim - that looks like most of the application wrapped up in just one chip. The SSM2166 looks as if it has a few additional bells & whistles which might be useful. It's nice to see that Analog Devices is still keeping the SSM line alive. Some nice stuff there... -- Dave Platt AE6EO Hosting the Jade Warrior home page: http://www.radagast.org/jade-warrior I do _not_ wish to receive unsolicited commercial email, and I will boycott any company which has the gall to send me such ads! |
