Default DDS Kit - debugging inquiry

Santa put one of these kits in my stocking:
http://www.njqrp.org/dds/index.html

So today I had a relaxing morning building the kit. Everything is going according to the notes; except I don't have any output at
all.

I checked the voltages (12 and 5), current draw (93 mA), temperatures of the chips (warm to touch), and I could see bits going in
from SETFREQ.

I just have an Optascope (max 100 KHz), so I tried loading in a frequency of 10 KHz, but I don't see anything on the output.

Has anyone else built one? What can I check next?

Thanks,

Gavin

Gavin,
I built one of these and it works fine (once I got my software debugged!).
You can see what I made with it he

Are you sure it's being loaded correctly? What are you using for software?

This is the second time I've heard of this problem.
I have noticed an error message when I load SETFREQ reporting that the
program "could not open driverLINX driver" but I have no idea what
that is or whether it really needs it to function as I have not tried
it yet.
If you go to OM3CPH's website there is a PC prog there which does
work. Also on that site is a useful "Wobbulator" program using the
AD9850 and an A/D converter to display frequency response on the PC
monitor
