When a variable coil such as a TOKO is spec'd as 150 nH, I assume thats
the max value with the slug fully inserted. How must range adjustment is there in these coils,i.e.what would the min value be with the type43 ferrite slug fully backed out ? Also I'm modifying this slug tuned coil from 680 microhenries down to 150 nh, so I believe that should be about four turns of a much larger wiresize than the really fine wire on there now. Any comments appreciated. Am building the 200 watt fet amplifier in this month's QEX. Having a very difficult time locating the low loss ceramic ATC SMT caps, need 19ea 100pf and 7ea 300 pf caps. Apparently Aerovox won't respond to anything other than a large order. |
