I am looking into taking a analog signal in the 2.5 to 2.7 MHz range from my Collins tube gear and converting that into a format suitable for the Icom CAT protocol. I am not sure the Arduino Uno DAC is fast/accurate enough to do the job. From what I read, the Arduino can be made to look like a COM port using the USB port so no code needs to be written on the PC to display the VFO frequency. Any comments on the project would be appreciated. 73, Bernie I now have this project working using a PC as the display, an Arduino Uno micro controller and a 2N3904 amplifiers/buffer. Total cost is less than $15.00. The code has been modified to work on the Heathkit SB100 series as well. Contact me if you want a copy of the code for the Arduino. 73, Bernie |
