I was just wondering... with all the excitment that the shortwave
(listening) community seems to be having down on HF with digital radio Mondiale (DRM), have people been experimenting with similar digital voice encoding/decoding on 2m? It seems as though DRM-style radio would pass through many current repeaters without difficulty (being spectrally efficient) and be especially valuable in handitalkies that don't yet typically have DSP processing to clean up the audio. ---Joel Kolstad |
