Default New Kennedy assassination audio!

I am looking for TV and radio broadcasts of the JFK and RFK
assassinations. I am particularly interested in audio recordings of
such broadcasts made by amateurs.

If you personally tape-recorded or obtained -- or know of anyone else
who tape-recorded or obtained -- any television or radio broadcasts
concerning one or both of the two Kennedy assassinations in 1963 and
1968, please contact me.

Whether it's a network or local broadcast, whether the sound recording
of that broadcast is of good quality or poor quality, whether it was
recorded in a major market or in a minor market, I want to know about
it.

I'm a collector, so if you have any of this or know about someone else
who does... please email me or have them email me at:

Thanks!

I did have a reel to reel of the 1968 RFK events in LA. We were testing new
audio recording equipment (late night, of course) and were letting it run
off one of the TV feeds.
Unfortunately, it was lost in 1970s.

Often times, many news sources play at least "tidbits" of those audio files.
I'm sure a documentary will be on soon which will play many parts of those
files.

Speaking of this event, did you hear - some sick *******(s) in the UK
created a game about this, called "Kill the President"?
And they're supposed to be our friends? YEAH RIGHT............... Those
*******s ought to be found and executed.

NO ONE and I DO MEAN - NO ONE should buy this game to support their sick
minds. ANY STORES that stock this "game" should be boycotted.

Hey,

Thanks for the note.

So, like, this reel-to-reel definitely is gone forever, right? Not
even the remotest chance you might possibly have it tucked away
somewhere and have just forgotten where it is? (Sigh) I would dearly
love to hear your reel if there's any chance in a 1,000 it might
simply be misplaced somewhere.

I'm working on a very interesting project involving the RFK
assassination and one of the things I'm doing is piecing together
amateur and professional audio, video and film from that night (I've
gathered up a good bit of material thus far and there's been some
truly amazing results so far).

If you might happen to know of anybody else who has such material, I
would love to get in touch.

Again, thanks so much for your note. And, just out of curiosity, do
you happen to remember which TV network it was that you were taping
with the reel-to-reel that night? Which local market were in at the
time?

Very best wishes!

Brad

P.S.

W9GB,

Any chance somebody made a cassette dub off the original reel-to-reel
at some point later on?

I am afraid not. It was either the NBC (WGEM) or CBS (KHQA) affiliate for
the Hannibal/Quincy market (one of the smallest TV markets in the US).

I'm quite fond of my copy of "Drunk divorced floozie"
(The ballad of Diana Spencer) by that American singer
Mojo Nixon.
