Default Wilderness Sierra output power slowly increases?

Trying to figure out what might be wrong with my My Wilderness Sierra.
On transmit, the output power slowly goes from 0 to 1 watt after a
miinute or 2. (Using a 40 watt band module, but does the same thing
with other modules) - normal output should be about 2.5 watts. Maybe
the final is going?, any tips before I actually have to start checking
components, thanks Mike AB7RU
