The Contest rules you can find at: www.arrl.org/contests/rules/2008/eme.html Please do spot your Activity at http://www.mmmonvhf.de/newsuser.php or/and use the Contest page of Matej; http://www.darkside.cz/eme.php SOURCE: tnx to Matej, OK1TEH, direct to MMMonVHF *** GB3VHF closedown new moves by the RSGB Chris, G0FDZ, did receive a letter from the GM at RSGB HQ stating that the Board has asked him to enter into discussions with the site owner, with regard to seeking the possibility of a more realistic site rental for GB3VHF. This is good news indeed and I have been asked that until discussions are completed that I keep GB3VHF on the air. This I am happy to do and I am grateful that the Board has intervened on this matter. He was stronger here on 6m EME than he was on 2m, but I was very pleased to contact him on both bands. I can't imagine how he had the energy to single handedly undertake EME on 2 bands at once! MMMonVHF is trying to give an overview of Sporadic E on other continents than Europe and is asking to send reports of Sporadic E openings that occured on 144 MHz worldwide! Both CW/SSB and JT65 with 500 watts/max. at TX, 18m dish, V-pol. 28dBi gain. Wiill try CW/SSB on usual JA freq. every 30 minutes for any possible contact. There is a small chance we will be on 2 m on saturday night... The 2 m antennas have to be mounted during daytime on saturday. So we need good weather. On friday evening we will start testing. Then we will use the HB9Q EME logger to try with small stations. During the contest no logger activity. We are unassisted. We hope to be on all three moon passes. Last weeks I was working to get 70cm system running. My 4 yagi array is up again with repaired preamp and TX line. Old 250W PA has been retired and I want to try new 400W SSPA for the first time. I do hope it will work as I had no opportunity to test everything together before. I will change bands depending on activity level and conditions, but as I have TVI problems on 70cm I will on this band mostly during the night. Weather permitting, it's the same sequence of places and times that I have often used in the past. On Saturday evening I'll be operating from Howell's Knob near Maleny (QG63JE) and my second location on Sunday morning will be Mt Gravatt in Brisbane (QG62MK). I will have equipment operational for 50, 144, 432, 1296, 2301, 2403, 10368 and 47088 MHz, as well as the usual FM simplex frequencies. They will be operating mostly on CW with a focus on Europe on 1.8 through 50 MHz from November 21st. through December 3rd.
