ESPN Lehigh Valley Expands To Third Signal

Connoisseur Media Sports ESPN Lehigh Valley 1230 WEEX Easton/1320 WTKZ
Allentown PA added a third signal on New Years Day as 1160 WBYN Lehighton
begins airing the programming. WBYN had been airing a Christian Preaching
format as The Light since 2005. The previous format began to assume the
format of 107.5 WBYN-FM Boyertown/Reading following that stations LMA to
Nassau Broadcasting in 2005. After the LMA ended in March 2009, the
Christian format returned to that frequency making 1160 redundant. 1160
WBYN covers the northwestern side of the Lehigh Valley market

EMF Purchases Three In Evansville & Keokuk

Educational Media Foundation is acquiring three stations from affiliates of
Withers Broadcasting. EMF will pay WYNG, LLC $450,000 for what is now AC
94.9 WYNG Mount Carmel IL/Evansville IN. WYNG will join EMFs K-Love
Christian AC network as a satellite of 91.9 KLVR Middletown CA. The K-Love
programming is already heard in the Evansville market on 95.3 WKVN
Morganfield KY, whose coverage reaches the areas where WYNG does not. EMF
will also acquire two stations in Keokuk IA paying $500,000 for Withers
Broadcasting of Iowas Classic Hits Kool 95.3 KOKX-FM and David Listers
Classic Rock 96.3 KRNQ. KOKX-FM will also

Old School Returns To Atlanta

Following the loss of their 99.3 W257DF Dallas GA translator last July due
to interference caused to 99.3 WCON-FM Cornelia, Steve Hedgwoods Core
Communicators has relaunched the Old School brand in Atlanta on 87.7
WTBS-LP Atlanta. Unlike the last variation of the station, which was one of
three Classic Hip-Hop stations in the market, the new incarnation of Old
School is airing an RB Oldies format. WTBS-LP is owned by Prism
Broadcasting Network and had been running a Spanish CHR format as Mega
87.7. Core Communicators also operates Urban Streetz 94.5 W233BF/WSTR-HD3
in the Atlanta market.

Kenny Walker Joins 102.7 The Beach Miami

As expected following his exit from mornings at CBS Country Kiss 99.9 WKIS,
Kenny Walker is joining Entercoms recently relaunched Classic Hits 102.7
The Beach WMXJ Miami for mornings starting Monday, January 11. Walker has
been working in the Miami market since 1995. First at CHR Y100 100.7 WHYI
where he eventually hosted mornings until his exit in 2007, Walker then
spent two years in afternoons at Cox AC 97.3 The Coast WFLC before joining
WKIS in 2009. He previously worked in New York at 95.5 WPLJ and serves at
the Public Address Announcer for the NFLs Miami Dolphins. Entercom
