Special memorial radio amateur station paying tribute to the first man in
space, signing as R1961GP is active in April 2016.

The station is located on the landing site of the first manned spaceship
Vostok 1 about 40km southeast of the city of Saratov, Russia.

The station is operated by a group of amateur radio enthusiasts from the
cities of Saratov and Engels.
