SWS Geomagnetic Disturbance Warning 16/53 issued at 2301 UTC/01
December 2016 by the Australian Space Forecast Centre. A small coronal hole
will move into a geoeffective position around 4
Dec. This could result in brief active to minor storm periods from
late 3 Dec or early 4 Dec. Increased geomagnetic activity expected due to
coronal hole high
speed wind stream from 03 to 04 December 2016.

Virtual Buildathon from Chertsey:

Chertsey Radio Club will be hosting a Virtual
Buildathon starting in December. Bob, M6FLT
will be building a kit over a couple of
weeks, live on camera, and will be able to
answer questions as participants follow him.
The kit will be a Kanga Products Fox-3, 40m
CW transceiver and k16 keyer kit.
Participants buy the kit but there is no cost
to join in with the session.

Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 -- The Kentucky
Amateur Radio Society (KARS) December
meeting/Christmas Dinner will take place at 6
p.m. Monday, Dec. karslogolowres12, 2016, at
Colton's Steakhouse, 1001 Granite Dr. in
Bardstown. The Christmas Dinner will begin
with a short KARS business meeting. During
the business meeting the nominated officers
for 2017 will be presented, nominations from
the floor will be accepted, and the vote for
the 2017 officers will be held. The election
will close the meeting and Christmas Dinner
will follow. Members attending are asked to
arrive promptly at 6 p.m. so the business
meeting may be conducted expeditiously.
