AMSAT SA 2 m / 70 cm dual band Yagi antenna is now available

AMSAT SA have made available a new dual-band 145/435 MHz Yagi antenna for
amateur satellite operation. The Yagi has a unique element called an 'Open
Sleeve' which is a director very close to the driven element

Jonathan Naylor, G4KLX, pioneered the opening, to amateur radio operators,
of D-Star and later other digital repeater modes including DMR and Yaesu
system fusion by writing software that could be implemented on Arduino and
Raspberry Pi hardware for the creation of multi-mode repeater and hotspot
controllers

Soyuz flight deploys amateur radio satellites

The Soyuz flight on December 27th carrying a pair of Kanopus V remote
sensing satellites also deployed two German Orbital Systems D-Star ONE
satellites: D-Star ONE - Sparrow and D-Star ONE - iSat
