On Sunday, April 18, 2021, Radio Amateurs of Canada is organizing a
special on-air event to celebrate World Amateur Radio Day.

Every year on April 18, Radio Amateurs worldwide take to the airwaves in
celebration of Amateur Radio and to commemorate the formation of the Inte
rnational Amateur Radio Union (https://www.iaru.org/) (IARU) on April 18
, 1925.

Radio Amateurs of Canada is once again holding a “Get on the Air o
n World Amateur Radio Day� special event in which we encourage as
many Amateurs as possible to get on the air and contact as many RAC stati
ons as possible.
* RAC official stations will operate across Canada from 0000Z to 2359Z on
April 18. The RAC official station call signs are VA2RAC, VA3RAC, VE1
RAC, VE4RAC, VE5RAC, VE6RAC, VE7RAC, VE8RAC, VE9RAC, VO1RAC
, VO2RAC, VY0RAC, VY1RAC and VY2RAC.
* Those contacting one or more of these stations will be eligible for a sp
ecial commemorative certificate noting their participation in RAC’
s Get on the Air on World Amateur Radio Day Event.
* Participants simply need to complete one or more contacts, on any band
and mode, with RAC official stations to earn their certificates.
* No logs need to be submitted; simply check back on the RAC website when
instructed and enter your call sign to download your certificate.

Note: From 0000z to 0500z and again from 1200z to 1800z, VA3RAC will be
active in the Ontario QSO Party and will be sending the contest exchange.
Stations contacting VA3RAC during those time periods are encouraged to se
nd their contest exchange in return (state/province/country or Ontario cou
nty).

Thank you for your continuing support and understanding during this time o
f crisis. As with many of our Amateur Radio activities, overcoming chall
enges is a great way to learn. Please take care of yourself and your loved
ones, stay safe and have fun while celebrating World Amateur Radio Day.

Le dimanche 18 avril 2021, Radio Amateurs du Canada organise une manifes
tation spéciale sur les ondes pour célébrer la Journée
mondiale de la radio amateur.

Chaque année, le 18 avril, les radio amateurs du monde entier se
font entendre sur les ondes pour célébrer cette activité q
ui leur tient tant à cœur et commémorer la création de
l’Union internationale des radio-amateurs (https://www.iaru.org/
) (IARU), le 18 avril 1925.

Radio Amateurs du Canada organise une fois de plus un événement
spécial intitulé « Prenez l’air lors de la Journ
ée mondiale de la radio amateur », au cours de laquelle nous e
ncourageons le plus grand nombre possible d’amateurs à se met
tre en ondes pour entrer en contact avec un maximum de stations affiliÃ
©es à RAC.
* Les stations officielles RAC fonctionneront à l’échell
e de tout le Canada de 0000Z Ã 2359Z le 18 avril. Leurs indicatifs so
nt VA2RAC, VA3RAC, VE1RAC, VE4RAC, VE5RAC, VE6RAC, VE7RAC, V
E8RAC, VE9RAC, VO1RAC, VO2RAC, VY0RAC, VY1RAC and VY2RAC.
* Ceux et celles qui contacteront une ou plusieurs de ces stations auront
droit à un certificat commémoratif spécial attestant de le
ur participation à l’événement « Prenez lâ
€™air lors de la Journée mondiale de la radio amateur » orga
nisé par RAC.
* Il suffit aux participants d’établir un ou plusieurs contac
ts, sur n’importe quelle bande et en n’importe quel mode
, avec des stations officielles RAC pour obtenir leur certificat.
* Aucun rapport de contact ne doit être soumis. Il vous suffit dâ
۪entrer les donn̩es vous concernant dans le site Web de RAC en s
uivant les instructions, puis de saisir votre indicatif pour télÃ
©charger votre certificat.

Note : De 0000Z Ã 0500Z, puis de nouveau de 1200Z Ã 1800Z, V
A3RAC sera en ondes pour animer la Fête QSO de l’Ontario et e
nverra les données de contact et localisation (« contest exchang
e »). Les stations contactant VA3RAC pendant ces périodes sont e
ncouragées à envoyer leurs données de contact en retour (
État/province/pays, ou comté de l’Ontario).
