Thanks to a gentle nudge on Facebook by my good friend, Brian KB9BVN .....
I would be remiss if I didn't mention that today, August 14th is the
anniversary of the death of Fr. Maximilian Kolbe SP3RN.

As I've mentioned on this blog before, Fr. Max was a Catholic priest as
well as an Amateur Radio operator in Poland. He stood up to Nazi
aggression and paid the ultimate price. Fr. Max is the "unoffical" patron
saint of Amateur Radio operators, everywhere. May we follow his example of
courage and kindness and love for our fellow man.



St. Max, please pray for us!
