Steve, K4YZ It will be indeed interesting to see if Mark follows through and puts up at least a segment of wire so as to allow him to make his new Codeless General voice heard on the HF bands. So far, Mark has been unable to toss a short piece of wire over the branches on his alleged forty acres due to inclement weather, snow, or whatever the excuse du jour is. Even with high winds and snow, ice floes and glaciers, tornadoes and earthquakes, any Ham who has a piece of wire available and who has any semblence knowledge of the workings on an antenna can erect one...even within the confines of his own ten by ten living room. Why is Mark stalling? Oh, wait. I forgot. These hurdles are not his fault. Someone else is to blame. The weather, the selfish VE's. the ARRL, the need to be constantly On Guard here in the newsgroups while he defends himself....all of this as a whole stymies Poor Mark's endeavors. None of this is his fault, you see. He is the victim who is beset upon by a myriad of unseen forces, forces that "talk" to him in the quagmire of his misfiring mental processes. Don't invite Mark to schedule a QSO. He will twist your invitation, as only a warped mind can do, into being a "stalking" threat. Mark is not quite right with the normal world... |
