You keep chanting that mantra, UnWiseman. Facts say otherwise. I worked VK9NS on 20m, after midnight local time just a few days ago. I worked 3B7SP on 6/19 at 0427Z on 20m. If your fine antenna, the Alpha Delta DX-CC can't hear 'em, just say so. ARRL Operating Manual, Ch. 3, "Picking a Band" "While many hams think 20 meters is the workhorse band, it always isn't reliable. At the bottom of the sunspot (solar) cycle, 20 meters may be usable for only a few hours a day. During years of higher solar activity though, 20 meters may be open all night." So your interpretation of those words tells you that 20m can't be open at night, huh? Since we are currently in the bottom end of the solar cyle, Marqueer and others' claims of 20 meters being open all night is just unsubstantiated bull****. If you didn't live in the Ohio River Valley and had something besides a trap dipole at 35 feet, you might be able to substantiate the claims for yourself, demented one. amazing with the voices he hears in his head he never sems to real His logbook indicates otherwise, **** for brains. Give us an example of what your logbook says, UnWiseman. Dave K8MN |
