Actually, Scotty was sending the Morse "stand back" while Kirk, Spock,
and McCoy "decoded" it from inside the brig. Then the wall blew in and

That last bit of information is a bit more than really needed to be
shared with the rest of us, Larry, but I'll resist the temptation to
