IDACOMM and Ambient Announce Partnership for Deployment of Broadband
Over Power Line Technology

BOISE, ID -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 09/03/2003 -- IDACOMM, Inc., a
subsidiary of IDACORP, Inc. (NYSE: IDA), and Ambient Corporation (OTC
BB: ABTG) today jointly announced a memorandum of understanding to
initiate in early September a pilot test of Broadband over Power Line
(BPL) technology at up to 100 residential and commercial locations in
Boise, Idaho.

Ambient's technology is designed to facilitate the transmission of
data over medium-voltage and low-voltage power lines directly to the
end-user's computer. IDACOMM's BPL service will provide broadband
Internet access to the power outlets in the home or business
participating in the pilot program.

IDACOMM is planning the most complete and sophisticated pilot test of
an end-to-end broadband solution conducted to date, according to Matt
Collins, IDACOMM's director of BPL deployment. The pilot test will
include many aspects of a complete broadband offering not normally
associated with BPL technology tests, including subscriber
authentication, bandwidth monitoring and control, and advanced
services such as video streaming and Voice over Internet Protocol.
