Before the Commission there are 14 petitions concerned with
Morse Code Testing for U. S. amateur radio licensing. The first 7 petitions, RM-10781 through RM-10787, are largely concerned with dropping the code test. Supposedly the window for Comments is already closed on those but new Comments keep appearing on the public record. RM-10805 through RM- 10811 are largely concerned with keeping the code test. Supposedly the window for those Comments will close on 7th of November. As of the end of the business day 21 October 2003, the number of Comments on each RM are as follows (only last three digits of RM shown): 781: 314 782: 264 783: 267 784: 247 785: 250 786: 411 787: 662 sub-total 1,227 805: 148 806: 142 807: 108 808: 118 809: 111 810: 116 811: 484 sub-total 2,415 Grand total for all comments: 3,642 Note: Each RM number's first document is the original petition.
