Subject: Radio Conversion
From: "Lou" Date: 4/19/2004 10:30 AM Central Standard Time Message-id: I seem to recall a "CB" class of operation IN the UHF region way back when. Long before MURS and such came into play. Actually I think the new stuff such as MURS replaced the UHF CB band. Maybe he is confusing the two bands? IF NOT, WOW....... that is a task and a half. As others have stated, legality will be out the window. Lou Big difference. "UHF CB" is known as GMRS, or General Mobile Radio Service. It's in the 462-467MHz range. MURS is five discreet channels in the 151-156MHz range, or "VHF". 73 Steve, K4YZ |
