According to an article in today's business section of the Toronto Star
newspaper, the vacuum tube turns 100 years old on Nov 16, 2004. The article focuses mainly on the longevity of the vacuum tube in guitar amps as well as mentioning their use in microwave ovens. Didn't mention the tubes in my 3 footwarmers here. 73, de Hans, K0HB |
