True, we do have our share of abject white trash and
lower class trailerhouse dwellers on various places across 75 Meters.
Been that way for years. Their ranks seem to have thinned
out a tad however over the past years, with R.H. cracking
down on some of the more nefarious places on the bands.
You can still hear a few of these throwbacks to a more 'ignorant time'
in American history on ham radio. One place that comes
to mind is 3860 at 8:00 PM eastern. At that time every weeknight
something calling itself the 'Eastern Regional Patriot Net' fires
up to share the latest paranoia stories and short-wave radio pabulum
that's making the rounds. (black helicopters, contrails, nanobots in
flu shots, water fluoridation and Ishkabibble Mohammed Patel what
runs the Dunkin-Donuts-for-Allah is fair game for all manner of rumor grist
and fear mongering - think of it as the Liberty Net on steroids...)
Most notable on this freq. is a guy who checks into this Net each night
allegedly from KY with the 'callsign' of "Wolfman Jack". No valid ham
radio call given for several months. (some suspect he's a former member
of the KY militia who's a friend of kookball Steve Andersen of United
Patriot Radio fame, although this is likely more ham radio BS) So dear
SWL's, if you want your nightly dose of deep-fried KookinSchlong breaded
sausages on a bed of grits with cornbread on the side, be sure to toon into
3860 at 8PM EST nightly. You'll feel like your right back in Porky's Bar in
the Backwaters of the Bayou with the good-ole-boys. (Note: tinfoil hats,
old construction worker Dickey and/or red plad shirts are highly
recommended, although some nights it's better than 3 old wimmen in
pink nightgowns and slippers and hair curlers chattin over the backyard
fence...right out of Monty Python TV Series...)
