Default Get Us Out of the U.N. Now

For God's sake, get the United States out of the U.N. before
it is too late. John Kerry & Bill Clinton are U.N. fans. Is that
proof enough?

That's patently false. And the only thing we're taking are casualties.

FWIW, we should have sent a cruise missile to each and every facility
that Saddam denied the weapons inspectors access to, as they were
denied access. But no, Clinton ignored the problem for years and years
and years. Eventually we came to the conclusion that he was hiding
something.

Anyway, after a few palaces went up in flames, Saddam would have
allowed access. Or not. His palaces, not mine. I'm good with it
either way.

FWIW... yesterday on a TV station here, a guy called in to talk to a Talk
Show host. Supposedly this guy was a Marine and a "War Photographer" ordered
up to go into battle to take pictures. He said they came across "MANY"
Weapons of Mass Destruction.... but the officer in charge denied each and
every one as such BECAUSE...... and keep this in mind, he said the UN laid
down the rules as to what counted and what didn't...........

1. Rockets with no fuel
2 Rockets with fuel, no coordinates listed with equipment to launch
3. Rockets with chemical, no launch pad

All were not at same site, so as to use one from the other. Etcetera,
etcetera, etcetera..... The Photographer asked why are we splitting hairs
here and who made the rules as to what counted and what didn't. SO.... IF
those rockets HAD all the things missing, they WOULD have been indeed WMD,
according to that story.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.......... Was the guy BSing or telling the truth? I don't know.
But it is interesting to think about. Oh and Saddam DID use them before the
Gulf War, so why not have them now? What did he have to hide - to not allow
inspections. I'm not a great fan of this war nor the mounting life it is
taking, but Saddam COULD have been a bit more forthcoming. Him and his
people acted like snakes in the grass..... Tarik Aziz, I'd love to have
decked him a few times for some of his remarks. Arrogant *******. But, in
the end, he sung like a Jay-Bird..... Interesting - what a guy will do to
save his own ass in the end.

I'd love to have seen Afghanistan wiped off the face of the earth for OBL to
have been wiped out. We were in the good eye then. Not many would have
blamed us. BUT.... we went ahead and did our thing. Were we completely
wrong? Maybe not, but if we're going to forego the UN's wishes, WHY remain a
part of it???? IF we wish to use their services, then we should try to
compromise as best as we can. However, given the huge scandal at the UN,
they've shown they out right can not be trusted. I suppose you're damned if
you do and damned if you don't.

But, regardless. I hope all "terrorists" are caught and rather than tried
and put in jail to be fed by OUR tax dollars for life, like the bombers of
the WTC the FIRST time, they be instantly SHOT. Strange, the bombers of the
Federal Building in Oklahoma were facing the Death Penalty and as we know,
one is now gone. These savages got life in prison. Where IS the justice?
They didn't deserve to breathe past the moment they were caught. We need to
deal with these ass holes for the scum that they are..

So, your irrational, Clinton-hating conclusion is that Clinton should
have barged in there and done something BEFORE we came to the
conclusion that Hussein was hiding something?

I can picture your reaction had he actually done that.

LRod Hubbard, did you say irrational? Clinton-hating? Those two
concepts simply cannot be used in the same sentence. Having a low
regard for Clinton is very, very rational.

Anyway, it was Saddam who agreed to the weapons searches, under the
Bush administration. Saddam agreed to everything, even a second war
for non-compliance, so Clinton wouldn't have been barging in - Saddam
had already granted permission. All Clinton did was keep an 8 year log
of non-compliance. He da man!

What I do remember of the Clinton Administration was all the news about
Lewinsky, and all the news about the weapons inspectors being denied
access.

That and him letting the EPA gas-mileage requirements fall flat on the
floor putting us in the fuel predicament we currently find ourselves
in. Wasn't it him and Algore being referred to as the environmental
administration? Hi! Now we've got to go after Arctic Refuge oil years
and years before it would have been necessary otherwise.

Hell, I don't even hold a grudge about him making an income tax-hike
retroactive to before he took office.

Then there was his boy, Greenspan, saying that he had to put the brakes
on the economy. Those words keep ringing in my ears as Ohio keeps
losing manufacturing jobs for burger flipping jobs. And we're sick of
burgers in Ohio.

I'm sure you get the point.
