One can't expect the truth from any American administration. Starting with Kennedy (Bay of Pigs) and with Johnson (Bay of Tonkin), presidents were regularly caught in lies, and two were impeached for lying (Nixon, Clinton). Picking at nits instead of facing the underlying issues? Typical. you lied plain and simple Nixon was about to be impeached, and he knew that he would be convicted if he were impeached. maybe maybe not He resigned from office in disgrace and had to be pardoned by his lap dog, Ford. maybe Clinton WAS impeached, beat the charge, but lost his right to practice law because he perjured himself. The underlying issue is dishonesty: It is a common thread running through all US presidencies. Look at Bush: He lied about weapons of mass distruction and had Colin Powell make a fool of himself in a speech before the U.N. Powell has said it was the low point of his career. And then there was Oliver North and his illegal arms for hostages deals during the Regan presidency. There is little doubt that Regan knew about it but had maintianed "plausible deniability." Now name some Canadian Prime Ministers who were similarly dishonest (Hell, you probably can't name the current P.M. without looking it up on the web.) No I can't name him Know why? becuase he does not matter in th world |

You have been consistently and repeatedly unable to show a single lie told by Bush about WMD. That you would continue to say he lied about WMD makes you the worst kind of liar. -- If John McCain gets the 2008 Republican Presidential nomination, my vote for President will be a write-in for Jiang Zemin. |

It's so hard to keep track! Just yesterday a scandal forced a vote of no-confidence that toppled Prime Minister Paul Martin's government. Kickbacks and corruption did him in. Sunuvagun!
