I challenge you to find ONE "hot-ham-and-cheese" post wherein he's signed his name and/or callsign to it. A callsign is not a name. MARS is not Amateur Radio. Only one person holds any one particular callsign, ergo it's far more individual than a name. Sorry, it is NOT "more individual." Amateur radio callsigns can be re-issued to others after a former license holder passes away. [the FCC granteth, the FCC taketh away] Example: W1HR was the callsign of Jim Fisk, founding editor of Ham Radio Magazine, now a club callsign (honoring his name). W7DI, former callsign of SK Eugene Hubbell (W9ERU in Illinois), is now a club call. Gene was a 55 WPM morseman by several tests of morsemanship. There's only one N0IMD, however I know a half dozen "Brian's" Incorrect use of the apostrophe indicating a POSSESSIVE. PLURALITIES are expressed with the simple addition of an S at the end, NO apostrophe. And MARS does not exist without Amateur Radio. The Military AFFILIATE Radio System exists, and was created FOR the military (originally by the Army). MARS does NOT operate IN amateur radio bands. MARS callsigns are different than civilian radio amateur's callsigns. Don't know why you brought that in, but there ya go. Quite possibly because YOU FAILED to acknowledge that the Department of Defense DIRECTIVE that establishes the MILITARY Affiliate Radio System? We don't call ya "Brain" for nothing! Are your separate personalities counting themselves as a "group" so that you can wave your "we-we" again? I call Brian Burke Brian. So do others in here. When YOU present some actual proof of your 18-year "active duty time in the USMC" "we" may stop calling you "Dudly" (after the fake air carrier pilot mentioned by pseudonym in Ernest K. Gann's autobiograpical book "Fate is the Hunter"). One thing "we" will never do is call you "brain" for all the mistakes you've made in the past seven-plus years. An imaginative ego (even if encased in a ferret shell) will never be considered "brainy." |

Gann's autobiograpical book "Fate is the Hunter"). Is the the same as the Dudly Do Right chatacter (which is where I thought the nick name for steve came from the era a abit before my my time but not eneough before before to have realy gotten into the history book No, Mark, it is NOT "Dudly Do-Right" from the cartoon character (although there IS a cartoonish behavior that Robeson affects). I explained the "Dudly" name between September 1 and 3, 2005, and you will find that under the thread nominally called "Laying Waste to Frankie of Silliland." Ernest K. Gann was a prolific author as well as a long-time air carrier pilot ("airlines pilot") and his novels have been made into at least four major motion pictures. Gann used a pseudonym of "Dudley" for the #3 seniority-rating pilot hired on at Matson Airlines...who had NEVER achieved either a commercial pilot's license or a multi-engine rating (essential for 4-engine passenger air carriers of the time). Gann's "Dudley" FAKED his way into the airline (!), taking advantage of this start-up of the Matson ship passenger line right after WW2 not being that fussy about checking credentials. When discovered, "Dudley" was fired. However, the real "Dudley" talked his way onto another start-up airline and subsequently killed himself and his passengers in an aircraft crash at that airline. Through ineptitude in flying skills which he had tried to fake as well... You can find references to the book "Fate Is The Hunter" on an Internet search, using either that title or "Ernest K. Gann" as search words. Gann died in 1991 on San Juan Island (his home) in the Puget Sound region of Washington. "Fate Is The Hunter" was made into a so-so motion picture starring Glenn Ford. The book and its tales are much better reading. I picked "Dudly" as the pseudonym because that is what Robeson has done in here...largely FAKING his way through, posing as "knowledgeable" when he doesn't know jack about radio. Neither is Dudly multi-engine rated nor can he be "pilot in command" of a single-engine general aviation aircraft. [he tried to impress others of his "pilot in command" "title" in messages posted in here] |
