correction the address is http://12.156.123.39/fpoll/poll.php I quote: "Should REC.RADIO.AMATEUR.POLICY be monerated??" You probably mean "moderated." Your spelling will undoubtedly confuse both Woger and Markie, who are probably scouring Google at this moment in search of monerators. Woger will be convinced that the word comes from "moan" and will be breathing rapidly as he looks. In any case, the question is moot. Reason: Because of the way that Usenet works, you can't moderate a group after it has been created. Instead, you have to create a new, moderated group. You can try so-called retro moderation, where the moderator issues cancel messages to delete unwanted messages, but that's unlikely to work either. Most news servers completely ignore cancel messages because of past abuse. Those which don't, usually require you to have a PGP public key registered with them so that they can validate your PGP signed cancel messages. Unsigned and improperly signed cancel messages are ignored. In short, your poll is meaningless, because rrap can NEVER be moderated. You need to start a new news group instead. |
