The ARRL represents only 15% of hams.....AT BEST on a good day.
30% are indifferent. The rest of us would rather see that mildew and black mold filled old building BULLDOZED into the ground and a McDonalds placed up in it's place. ARRL = Cold War Relic of Old Boy Networks staffed by drunks. |

What I am unable to understand if the Vehicles are donated as is the Gear, run by volunteers why does it cost thousands of pounds per year to run ?, It seems strange. I have yet to see published figures anywhere regarding the costings of GB4FUN old or new one, perhaps someone can point me in the direction of this informed information on how they spend the dosh. Fuel, Tyres, Tax, MOT, Insurance, Equipment Insurance, Organisation of the bookings, Consumables (paper, power, pens, leaflets) - shall I go on? |

oups.com... WHY ARE THE RUNNING COSTS OF THE RCF TENS OF THOUSANDS? You will find it to your advantage to take time to read me previous note to you on this topic. ***** If the RCF is independent of The Potty (as is falsely claimed) You're taking the meaning of 'independent' out of context: "The RCF is a charity set up by, but independent from, the Radio Society of Great Britain." THERE WOULD SEEM TO BE A PRIMA FACIE CASE FOR A COMPLAINT TO THE CHARITY COMMISSIONERS! ***** Well, you'd better get on with it then. But before you do you'd be well advised to discuss your concerns with the trustees as I suggested before. Let us know how you get on, although I have the distinct feeling that you'll forget all about it once you realise that there's nothing to this than your own hot air. As you profess to not being an RSGB member (although you still seem to be a reader of RadCom) why do you care? Have you donated to the RCF? 73, Howard G6LVB |
