Default what is this ?

Can you post a better picture of the front panel so the designations can be
read? With the 'mic' type co-ax connector at the bottom and the AC outlet, I
would agree that it is likely some sort of test gear, but it could also be a
recording amp or some such needing the eye for level setting.
