Say no to institutionalized interference.
Just say NO to HD/IBOC!

Here's what I have so far, at least for the first couple minutes... the bars
are because of the shutter speed on my camera..

New pics. Set has been recapped except for the power supply. That will come
either this evening or tomorrow evening. I got the 6KV caps in today's mail,
and decided to do the whole thing this afternoon, as far as the paper caps.
Focus doesn't quite come in yet, but it's obviously much better than what it
was before. Still starts flipping after it's been on a few minutes, I
suspect the power supply 'lytics are still an issue.

Two of the three 'lytic cans have now been replaced. Set works MUCH better
now, but still not great focus. It's best all the way to the clockwise side
of the control. Seems to have good HV now, so perhaps some of those 2Mohm
resistors have gone way up in value, and need to be replaced.

I sat and watched the set for about an hour and a half tonight, with great
stability. Think it could use an alignment, or perhaps some IF tubes
replaced. Maybe I'm expecting too much out of the olde beastie, though.. one
gets spoiled by comb filters and such. Sensitivity doesn't seem all that
bad, but I don't see any snow when I disconnect the antenna.

I have some video I took with my Sony Cybershot that I can send to anyone
who would like to see it. It's just over 5MB, so I can't post it to my
website, and of course can't post it here, either.
