Hi, thought I post here for picture.
This is for them tin can caps.. I was pondering for a better way, something to cut them open instead of hacking, mangling & denting them up. Went looking thru my tools and came across this gadget. It's a plumpers tool, called a tubing cutter. Gave it a try and it works super great! No dents, no rough cuts, easy to use. Just wanted to share this with you if you didn't know already. Ridgid tools make this one. _JD_ |

Good idea. I have a tubing cutter and have used it many times -- for other
things! They make a clean, even cut and are quick and easy to use. Phil Nelson |

Don't try to chop it off in 1 pass. _J D_ |

And don't use one with a dull blade!
Or a cheap one with skewed rollers. Alan |

Or an even cheaper one with no rollers at all. My dad had one of those,
it worked OK on copper tubing that didn't have to look good. Alan Douglas wrote: And don't use one with a dull blade! Or a cheap one with skewed rollers.
