Default Italian radio (0/1)

While in Italy last week I spotted this radio in an art studio. I
thought it looked pretty cool. I was not able to peer into the
chassis at all and did not want to turn it on without permission so I
am not even sure if it is at tube model but suspect that it is.

Anyone know what it might be?

John

The dial looks like Geloso but Gelosos are generally plainly marked.
Nice one, I like it!

It almost certainly is a tube radio since it has a tuning eye. While it
would be technically possible to add a tuning eye to a solid state
radio, it would involve a lot of parts used only for this purpose (such
as a high voltage power supply). Some companies have been known to do
weird things, but, until proven otherwise, assume it is a tube set.

No frequency markings on the dial. It's not the first set like that
I've seen but it is uncommon.

To get my real email address, replace wrongname with dadoheadman.
Then replace nospam with fastmail. Lastly, replace com with us.

This is your radio,

I notice that this company made it a point to ignore its neighbor , former
Yugoslavia on the dial scale!

Omer

BTW yes it does have a dial scale!
