Hi Guys,
I need a little advice if posible. I have recently bought an iCom IC
PCR2500. When I bought it I simply used the aerial that came in the box
(Useless I know), as after buying the radio, the funds didnt stretch to
gettting a decent Ant. as well. The good news is that I am flush again, and
want to get an outdoor Ant. that can be mounted on the chimney.
Sounds easy so far....
Here is the problem, as I am new to scanning, I have no idea in the world as
to what make/model I should go for, or where would be the best place to
order it from. I live in the West of Ireland, so somewhere in Ireland would
be best, but I will happily order it in from the UK if needs be (When
ordering my iCom, I saved nearly 400 euros by getting it in from England).
I suppose what I want to listen to is the "usual" stuff", if there is such a
thing. Pretty much anything that I can get....

I also have an interest in getting the Space Station, and have heard that
weather satellites can also be got.. These are not a priority, but maybe
someone can advise me regarding these.

If there are any Irish enthusiasts reading this, I would also be grateful
for a list of frequencies. I have searched the net, but the only lists I can
find that are relevant to Ireland seem to be quite dated.

Sorry that its such a broad question, and possibly not an easy one to
answer, but if anyone can advise me, I would be grateful.
