ARROWs flying Shuttle CAP mission
````````````````````````````````` It is 10:19am EST (1519z). "Arrow 01" flight (Eglin F-15Cs) have been up with Huntress on 252.0 all morning. They are flying the Shuttle Combat Air Patrol (CAP) and accepting various acft target tracks from Huntress. Arrow 01 flight is up with Miami Ctr ATC on 269.3. They just announced they are en route from nav fix ATLAS to APOLO to hit the tanker. "Tanker 21" has been refueling the ARROWs; they are also using 252.0 in comms with NORAD's "Huntress." Huntress just informed Tanker 21 that Tanker 21 will be replacing them and will be on station at 1530z (10:30am EST). I live about 10 miles from Launch Pad 39A and will post information throughout the day on the continuing launch comms, on all of my Email groups listed below. -- AL STERN Satellite Beach FL http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MilRadioComms http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HFmonitors http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CivilAirComms http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FloridaMilcom http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SpaceCoastComms |
Aren't military radio links encrypted nowadays, or is this Guard traffic? He's posting the radio traffic he hears in his head. No equipment required.
