Default Pro 97 problem

I have a Radio Shack scanner and I have had a few issues with it that
seem to have been my fault.
On occasion, my 800mhz channels stop working. I still get the VHF but
not 800. It turns out that I accidentally hit a button that caused
the problem. This time I have pushed every button I have and can't
seem to get it to switch back.

Any suggestions?

Dave

Have you somehow locked out the 800-MHz channels?
Try this: Manually select one of the 800-MHz
channels you already have programmed into your
unit, and check the display. If it says LOCKED
(or a similar message) press the LOCK-OUT button
to clear the block. Also, check whether you have
simply set your scanner not to scan the block or
blocks where you store your 800-MHz frequencies:
Turn on the scanner and press the SCAN button.
Check the display. The blocks which are not
turned on will not have the indicator under the
number (This flashes while the block is being
scanned.) If the block you want is not turned on,
press the button corresponding to that block;
e.g.' 2 or 5. Odds are you turned off a channel
or a block inadvertently
