Default Radio Shack Pro-91 Scanner.

I own one, (www.rigpix.com Radio Shack Pro-91) but years ago the
police department went to trunking. My scanner has trunking but I can't
hear anything on trunking. Is there a way I can program my scanner so
that the trunking feature will pick up some frequencies I can listen to?

Depending on what trunking your PD is using. The 91 is a single trunker. If
its a larger city they may have went digital so the pro91 wont pick it up.
Time for a pro96. :-)

I bought my Pro-91 for $75.00 at an E-Z Pawn pawn shop in 1997.I also
own a sixteen channel Radio Shack scanner I bought at another pawn shop
years before I bought my Pro-91 scanner. Are the Pro-96s still being sold
at Radio Shack and about how much money do they cost?

www.javiation.co.uk sells some nice scanners.I wouldn't mind if I
owned one of those Virtual Aircraft Radar devices.Every once in a while
there are Aircraft and Helicopters that fly over my house, going to
where ever they are going to or coming from.I have seen that some of
them are black Helicopters too.

Yes they still sell it. I believe its about $399, though you can get it
online cheaper.

OK, I will look for a good price on a Pro-96, or whatever scanner that
is dual trunked/trunker.Maybe I get lucky and find one for $75.00 at a
pawn shop.
I dont spend a lot of time listening to my scanner. There are a few
elderly Ham Radio people on there for a short while in the mornings and
evenings, I enjoy listening to them.

Before you buy another scanner you need to make sure what your PD is using.
If they are just trunking on the 800 you don't need a digital scanner. If
they did go digital there is a real good chance it's also encrypted, so a
scanner will be worthless. Find out what they are using first.
