Will the TV audio become digital when the switch to Digital TV
happens? If so will it be capable of being monitored with traditional scanners? |

The sound is encoded along with the video into the digital stream. Unless (or until) scanners include ATSC receive capabilities, you won't be able to do it that way. You can get a Set Top box like the analog converters and run the analog audio output anywhere, but you need video in order to navigate menues and setup the box. See http://www.atsc.org/ |
