I placed my BC895XLT up for auction on the 12th.
I had the buy it now set at 150 and listed in several places was Shipping to USA only. Well someone from New Zealand bought with Buy It Now!!! I gave them the benefit of doubt sent an email saying they need to pay shipping. no response so I sent Ebay an unwelcome bid email. no response from them either. what can I do all I want is the scanner back on auction with out getting hit for another 10 bucks. thanks Anthony B. www.mostlyrockets.com |

Hey that's a pretty good price I saw a 895xlt on there the other and the bid
was at 220.00 I bought my 895xlt on there for 200.00 about a year ago. You can relist your item on ebay but I think you have to pay to list it again. You get alot of that on ebay dead bidders. People that bid and then don't go thru the deal. I have had that happen buying they knock me out and selling my own they never pay. Steve KB9HGI Ham Going Insane "Anthony B." wrote in message ... If your auction page says "Will ship to United States only," you can re-list your item and get all your money back for the first auction. Of course, eBay makes you jump through hoops to do this, but it is indeed possible (I've done it). Here are the steps: 1. Read about "Unwelcome Buyers" under buying offenses on this page... http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/investigates.html 2. Report the "Unwelcome Buyer" to Investigations (using the link on that page). The buyer will be sent an automatic email message about buying offenses and will be told the seller is not obligated to complete a transaction if a violation has occurred. 3. Send an email to the buyer stating the auction is canceled because of a buyer offense (to avoid arguments, include a link to the page above with a note to read about "Unwelcome Buyers"). 4. At this point, follow the same steps you would follow to get a FVF credit for a non-paying bidder. The instructions are on this page: http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/bidders_nonpaying.html The buyer is sent a non-paying bidder alert, which is invalid since you cancelled the auction. You'll also have to wait the full periods listed for each step on the page above before proceeding to the next step in the process. You can re-list the item at any point during this process. You will be charged for the new auction, but the fees for the first auction will eventually be credited to your account (bank or credit card) if the steps above are followed correctly. There is a web page on eBay that explains this entire process as it relates to buying offenses, but I don't remember the address. However, I do remember the exact steps because I've done it several times before. Good luck and hopefully your re-listed auction will be more successful. File a non-paying bidder, and as the reason say that you mutually
agreed not to complete the sale They will credit you immediately for the commission. Next time, put US SALES ONLY in the auction. It is a real hassle to ship out of the US, there is no really reliable way to get paid if you are not in the business of doing this--- PayPal International does not have verified address, so you have no protection against fraud. Most International buyers will not send you a Money Order that is cashable in US. I gave up on that a long time ago. Just not worth the hassle on something that you can just as well sell here. .... and don't forget the old game of foreign buyers wanting low customs
values declared so they don't have to pay taxes, then if the item gets damaged an insurance claim is useless due to the low valuation. Bluntly put... shipping outside of the US is a real PITA and not worth the trouble. "Bruce Markowitz" wrote in message ... I gave up on that a long time ago.
