Default Scanner recommendation

Look for a Yeasu VR120. They were closed out for ~ $100 when they introduced
the 120D. Same radio but with external power/charger jack. You may be able
to find some by calling around to different on-line places or thru e-bay. I
have one and like it a bunch.

Anyone could recommend a not-that-expensive Scanner that receives the
frequency ranges 108-174MHz, 225-400MHz, 406-420MHz? Preferrably a

handheld
unit.I only found the Uniden BC895XL but that's a bulky unit and quite
expensive. Any suggestions?

Benjamin
