Default Pro-91

Check Radio Shack as they have a wide variety of "wall wart" transformers
and most likely have the proper tip to fit the socket on the scanner.
Usually anywhere from $7.95-19.95 depending on the voltage etc. required.
Just make sure you have:

The proper voltage needed.
The proper minimum necessary amperage needed.
The proper sized tip to go on the end of the wall wart wire.
The polarity of the tip properly set.

Other than that, I personally save wall wart transformers from equipment
that no longer works or do not have. Having those extra ones laying around
has come in handy. Never throw those things out even if what it belongs to
doesn't work anymore.

A friend got a Pro 91 at a good price. I want to get an original ac

adapter
for it from Uniden, not a generic adapter. Any ideas as to a uniden model
for this RS clone?

TIA Al

Go to the Uniden web site http://www.uniden.com/ and
order a wall transformer for a BC 235 XLT. This is the Uniden equivalent model
of the PRO-90 and PRO-91. Or the Unidne 245 XLT power supply will work also.
NiCads recharge in sixteen hours
and NiMH AA cells or the NiMH battery packs for the Uniden 235 XLT, 245 XLT and
250D and PRO-90 recharge in twenty four ( 24 ) hours after complete discharge.

Also you could recharge the AA cells out side the PRO-91 radio with a fast 4
AA charger!

The PRO91 didnt come with an ac adapter so there is no such thing as an
original one.
