Default WNEM-TV scanner story

I just posted the following message to regarding the
news story on the WNEM-TV web site (
www.wnem.com) about kids using
scanners in home break-ins:

-=-=-=-=-=-

I just watched your news segment about how some kids managed to stay one
step ahead of the law by using a scanner. Unfortunately, this is one of
many such cases where scanner enthusiasts and other radio hobbyists are
given a black eye. Nobody seems to want to cover the stories where
"scannists" have done GOOD things via their radios. If you're
interested, I'll go back in my files a few months and provide you with
some balance to your reporting. (And I noticed that nobody mentioned
the fact that YOU, dear reporters, are using scanners YOURSELVES to get
the jump on good stories!)

Any bets on whether or not they even bother to reply?

That will be the last we see of that letter.

However I applaud you for writing and sending it. If enough people like you
would write then maybe you would get a reply.
