I was told by a RaDIO sHACK salesperson that the new PRO-96 will not hear
Auburn or Opelika Alabama as they are encrypted Can you help????Is this true?

If they are in fact, encrypted, then their statement is correct. "Digital",
and "encryption", are two, totally different things, and many get them
confused with each other. Best way to be sure, contact your police, and ask
them.
