I find myshelf taking 2 or three scanners/radios to an airshow. One to
listen to Civil Air, another one to listen to Mil Air, freq. counter, and Amateur HT. I'm trying to cut down on the carring load. 1. What would you suggest on a scanner to take to AirShows? 2. Is there any Amateur HT that will receive Civil Air & Mil Air? 3. Is there any scanner that will receive Civil Air, Mil Air, and a freq. counter? Thank You. |

There are several scanners, new and used, that cover both bands. The Pro
43 comes to mind {I'm an old timer]. If you're in a hurry [like for the "San Diego Miramar" show next month,] take a trip to your local ham radio store or do an Internet vendor search. There's got to be a lot of good buys available. Try EBAY also. I'm sure that others will soon direct you better than I can...
