Default About that "smooth/heavey stuff

I just heard United 394 call into LA Center and say "United 394 smooth"

What's he talking about.

I have been hearing but wasn't sure what they were saying if you'll
remember last months post!!!

I am not a pilot, but as I've heard this 'term' in
use... 'coming in heavy' indicates a poorly navigated or
non-conventional approach (to a landing). For example,
an aircraft with malfunction of nav or landing gear. I've
not heard 'smooth'... but prolly indicates normal or 'not
heavy'.
