Two questions, please:
1) What are the Base freq/Offset/and Step size MHz settings for the DCPD 460 MHZ system? 2) When will the DCPD go to their 800 MHz system? Will be in the DC area the 1st of Dec. and want to know what to monitor.( Have pro 96 digital scanner) Thanx Lew USSS retired |

Lew;
If you have one of the new PRO 96 Digi Scanners, you already have most of the fequencies that you'll need to scan around the DC area. Using the 'PRO-96 Preloaded Data Addendum' booklet that comes with the scanner, load V-Scanner # 6 and you'll have the DC Fire and police freqs in bank 0 (Fire is on the Digital Trunked system, and the PD are still on their old 450MHz range radios, but they're all in the PRO-96). You'll also get Mongomery Co, MD (Bank 1), Alexandria, VA (2), Arlington, VA (3), Fairfax Co, VA (4) and other local areas. Once you're here and turn on the scanner, it will never go quiet, there's always some action going on around this area. If you set up some search scans in the 160-170MHz and 406-420MHz ranges, you'll also get plenty of hits from the, too many to mention, Federal Agencies around here. This area is the Radio Hobbiest's mecca! For the record, IMHO, the PRO-96 is one great scanner, Cheers...Dave On Wed, 29 Oct 2003 19:14:19 -0500, "Lew Jernigan" wrote: Two questions, please: 1) What are the Base freq/Offset/and Step size MHz settings for the DCPD 460 MHZ system? 2) When will the DCPD go to their 800 MHz system?
