As far as I know, there are no official rules for posting messages in
unmoderated newsgroups. However, there are unofficial rules floating around
the internet, including....

You can also find posting guidelines for a specific newsgroup by
downloading the FAQ for that particular newsgroup from one of these ftp
sites... (some newsgroups have no guidelines/faq's)

Again, notice these are often just guidelines, not enforced or enforceable
rules.

Finally, your internet service provider may have specific, enforced, rules
for posting messages in newsgroups. See the terms of service for your
particular ISP for more details.
