Hi all I don't get here much to post butI broke down and got a Pro 2052. I also
got the software. I'm still not sure how the cable works. The person at the
store said to put the 9 pin end intto the computer and the plug into the
headphones jack. My question is what exactly is this software suppose to do? I
thought it was to control your radio from your PC? Please let me know if that
is not the case. I have not yet had the time to check it out and see what it
does and the sales person had no clue.

you have to love stupid radiohack employees

the back of the radio has a DB-9 connector already, just buy a 9pin female
to 9pin male cable for $10 or less elseware. the software that came with
that packae you bought can not be used.

you can download software off the net for free for the radio.

the shack does sell software available to order, i tried it and did not like
it though, i still have it, adn hasnt seen use in 2 years. the scanner is
excellent i have 2 of them, cheap price and good for military air monitoring

the police call cd has pro 2052 software on it also
