Default Florida Military Comms Log

Patrick AFB Area Log - Friday, 27 Feb 2004

We heard from the Dutch F-16s today; so they are still TDY at
Cecil.
The exercises of the USS JFK acft continued; more Hawkeye
callsigns than normal. So much comms traffic that it is nearly impossible to
log. I am just posting some of it now.
Scott AFB 126ARW and WI-ANG 128ARW tankers have been working acft
participating in the USS JFK exercise; the tankers are TDY at Macdill, and I
believe that is the reason that MacDill's 292.1 freq has been up. This freq
was formerly the MacDill Global Office freq when MacDill had a USAF GHFS
station. Now the freq seems to be used only for special purposes and TDY units.
