I just picked up an MVT-7200 which seems to be working well. It's quite
a nice little receiver, and in the country away from the urban/suburban noise level, it even gives good account on HF CW and SSB. For a small, do-everything receiver, it's quite impressive. I've been using AA alkaline batteries and was wondering how long the memories would be safe with the batteries out while changing them. The other concern is the audio quality on CW. It seems like a single tone would be produced pretty cleanly, but CW has quite a bit of distortion to it. Is this normal for a 7200? Voice (SSB/AM/FM) actually sounds cleaner. Dave K9SW |
