Anybody have any comments on this radio? I want to set up a few of them to
monitor local pd and fire non digital in the 470 Mhz partition. This radio
has no provision to program in a pl tone and was wondering if I might have a
problem with intermod in the Los Angeles area?

Also was considering the previous model Bct7 but it has no keypad.

I have a BCT7 & enjoy using it in my truck. The 7 isn't trunking, for a few
bucks more I'd definitely get the 8. The 7 is a pain to use at night (u
can't see anything) - but isn't bad to program. I took the case off and
mounted it in my dash, under the radio (fits perfectly). Does anyone know
if the BCT8 is the same size as the BCT7?
